This store was made possible by a USDA local food promotion grant.

Our emphasis is on low-processed, high quality, and farm-direct products. We appreciate the many great food businesses in Maine and work closely with Crown o’Maine Distribution — an invaluable resource for the local food economy in Maine.  See our logo for #EATDOWNEAST on their delivery truck as it travels the roads of Maine.

The Smithereen Farmstore is your one-stop shop for food produced right here in Washington County. This is where we stock our produce and value-added products, as well as products from local Maine producers. The USDA grant pays for staffing of the store, hurray! We are always looking for more products!
